Parental responsibility should be patterned after God Himself. A parent's calling is to invest in their children godly wisdom, love, nurture, and discipline that is required for them to become fully committed to Christ. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go." Training a child means to guide them in such a way that they avoid any tendencies to reject God's Word.
