Engaging Culture: Persecution The Church is called to bring the light of the Gospel to a lost world, drawing people to Christ through love, power, and faithful witness. While remaining separate from worldly influences, believers are to care for one another and reach those outside the faith. The early church remained united, and even during persecution, they spread the Gospel wherever they went. Because the Church is one with Christ, persecution against believers is taken personally by Him.
