“The Last Book: The Book of Revelation, Part Six - The BEMA and the Bride of Christ” by Dr. Frederick K. Price:

  1. The BEMA Seat of Christ:
    • The term BEMA comes from 2 Corinthians 5:10, where it refers to the judgment seat of Christ.
    • At the BEMA, born-again believers will stand before Christ for an exhaustive evaluation of their lives.
    • It is not a place of condemnation but rather a time of examination and reward.
  2. Who Appears Before the BEMA?
    • Only church-age saints (believers) will appear at the BEMA.
    • It is distinct from the Great White Throne Judgment, which involves unbelievers (Revelation 20:11-15).
  3. Purpose of the BEMA:
    • The BEMA evaluates a Christian’s total life, rewarding faithfulness and examining works.
    • Believers’ sins are forgiven, but their deeds matter for rewards (1 Corinthians 3:10-15).
    • It encourages faithful service and motivates believers to honor Christ.
  4. The New Jerusalem:
    • The New Jerusalem is a central theme in Revelation.
    • It descends from heaven and represents the eternal dwelling place of God and His people.
    • Only those who have trusted in Christ will enter this glorious city.
  5. The Bride of Christ:
    • The Bride of Christ symbolizes the redeemed Church.
    • It represents the intimate relationship between Christ and His followers.
    • The Bride will be united with the Bridegroom (Christ) in the New Jerusalem.
Remember that the Book of Revelation uses symbolic language, and its eternal implications transcend our earthly understanding. As we approach the fulfillment of all things, let us remain informed and vigilant, trusting in God’s ultimate plan.
