There is another world, invisible to human sight, whose inhabitants are known only through the Word of God. They have capabilities of managing the great ventures of God. Their range is far above that of mankind in strength and knowledge. They are a created order called "angels". These messengers are created by God and are an order of life which differ from humans yet are like us in many ways. In Part 1 of this two-part series, Pastor Frederick K. Price, Jr., presents an understanding of the nature and purpose of angels. The original words translated in both the Old and New Testaments literally means "messenger". Angels are innumerable: Daniel 7:10, Hebrews 12:22. The positions of angelic powers are ranked as thrones, dominions, principalities, authorities, powers, rulers, and archangels. Satan, likewise an angel, is known as the ruler of this world (John 16:16).
