Second Peter 1:5 says, "…giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control…" Knowledge is an important concept, indicating that Christians must give diligence to possessing spiritual and moral insight. Unless this quality is growing and expanding in the life of the Believer, one becomes ineffective and unproductive. It is incumbent upon every Believer to seek sound biblical teaching in order to gain knowledge of their benefits in Christ.
