The Azusa Street Centennial celebration commemorated the one hundredth anniversary of the 1906 Azusa Street Revival, a pivotal event in the history of Pentecostalism. Hosted by Crenshaw Christian Center, this momentous occasion brought together believers from various streams of the movement. The convention, held at the FaithDome, provided a unique and unprecedented opportunity to reflect on and experience the impact of this historic revival.

Dr. Frederick K.C. Price, a Pastor and Teacher founder of Crenshaw Christian Center, emphasized the significance of the event. He expressed that participating in the convention allowed attendees to engage with a spiritual experience that might not occur again in their lifetime. The convention featured teachings from notable faith teachers, including Kenneth CopelandDr. Frederick K.C. PriceDr. Jerry Savelle, and Dr. Creflo Dollar.

The Azusa Street Revival, which began on April 9, 1906, was characterized by speaking in tonguesdivine healing, and other manifestations of the Holy Spirit. It attracted people from diverse backgrounds, transcending racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic boundaries. The faithful believed that God was restoring New Testament experiences and equipping His chosen people for evangelism before the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The revival’s impact extended far beyond its initial location, shaping the identities of millions of Pentecostal Christians worldwide.

The convention served as a powerful reminder of the enduring legacy of the Azusa Street Revival and its profound influence on the global Pentecostal movement. Through worship, teaching, and fellowship, believers celebrated the revival’s centenary and continued to carry its message forward into the future.
