The Gifts of the Spirit by Dr. Frederick K. Price:

  • God’s Original Communion: Before sin, God communed directly with humanity. Sin created a divide.
  • Jesus and the Holy Spirit: Jesus removed sin; the Holy Spirit empowers believers.
  • Distinct Roles: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have unique responsibilities. The Holy Spirit gives specific gifts.
  • Three Gift Categories:
    • Revelation Gifts: Knowledge, wisdom, discerning spirits.
    • Power Gifts: Faith, miracles, healings.
    • Vocal Gifts: Prophecy, tongues, interpretation.
  • Pursue Gifts: Believers should desire and seek spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:1, 14:1). The Holy Spirit distributes them.
  • Accuracy: Spiritual gifts are precise and immediate, serving the Church.
  • Equipping the Church: Understanding gifts helps discern true spiritual operations.
  • Gifts vs. Functions: Gifts are specific endowments; functions are broader roles.
  • Relevance: Spiritual gifts build and mature the Church (Ephesians 4:11–16).

Dr. Price emphasizes the importance of spiritual gifts for the Church’s growth and believers’ empowerment.
