The story Jesus tells his disciples in Luke 16:19-31 expresses the magnitude of eternity. When death comes to a rich man and a beggar, the two find themselves still “alive” yet separated. The rich man experiences torment in hell, while Lazarus is comforted in Abraham’s bosom.

There has been much misunderstanding about hell, but it is as much a part of God’s plan as heaven. The Bible clearly states that life, as the conscious continuation of the individual personality, does not end with physical death. In this teaching Apostle Price presents the Bible’s description of hell.

Hell is not a state of mind – it is a literal place.
The scriptures do not speak of intermediary states of existence, such as limbo or Purgatory.
