The root meaning of the word "peace" is shalom, meaning freedom from trouble; wholeness and soundness; prosperity; and having a soul that flourishes. The Believer has peace knowing that Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord. He gave us peace by breaking down all barriers through His cross (Romans 14:17).
